Applicants for a master’s degree will have the following benefits

An amount of EUR 11,000 net per year;
All laureates will receive compensation covering tuition fees (about €500 per year);
International students also receive a fixed allowance of a maximum of €2,000 per year calculated on a scale according to their country of origin. This lump sum allowance is intended to cover travel expenses for the return trip in the year and visa fees;
Beginning international students are also offered the option of booking accommodation (individual study) in one of the residences near their institution of registration. They will also be offered a welcome home kit containing all the necessary household items (blankets, sheets, pans, plates, cutlery,…) worth approximately €100. PhD students

For PhD applicants (from Master (M2) to PhD), funding will be provided for a period of 4 years as indicated below:

€10,000 per Master’s year (M2), compensation covering tuition fees (about €500 per year), for international students a fixed compensation of a maximum of €2,000 per year calculated on a scale according to their country of origin (this flat-rate allowance is intended to cover travel return travel expenses and visa fees). Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Sophie Germain Scholarship Master, applicants must meet the following requirements:

All students applying for the Master’s degree “Mathématiques et applications” at the University Paris Saclay or the Institut Polytechnique de Paris are eligible (except for the track “Formation à l’Enseignement Supérieur en Mathématiques”). Students from outside the Paris-Saclay area must apply for the first call for applications, especially for international students (non-European) to facilitate the processing of their visas. Likewise, it is imperative that they contact their embassy or consulate to obtain a CAMPUS France file number. Candidates are selected based on academic criteria confirmed by transcripts and letters of recommendation. For PhD studies, only international students who wish to enroll in the M2 Master’s Mathematics and Applications are eligible for the PhD Track scholarship.

Funded students must meet the academic requirements of the Master’s program and develop a PhD project with a supervisor from the Hadamard Mathematics Doctoral School. Once the Master’s degree is confirmed, the board of the Hadamard Doctoral School of Mathematics must confirm the PhD project in order for the student to receive additional funding for his PhD. The application deadline for MSc (first call) and PhD scholarship applicants is January 31, 2023. The deadline for MSc (second call) scholarship applicants is May 15, 2023.
