What is a Leadership Style?
Leadership style is a leader style that provides guidance, implementation and planning
encouraging people. It includes a pattern of explicit and implicit actions performed by a leader.

Old Leadership Styles
Kurt Lewin and his fellow researchers conducted the first major study of leadership styles in
1939. They form a leadership framework based on three different leadership styles.

1. Independently or by authorization
A leader tells his staff what he wants done and how it should be done

2. Democracy or Participation
A leader includes one or more employees in a decision-making process, however
retains the authority to make final decisions.
3. Laissez Fair or Delegative
The leader allows free governance for employees and allows them to make decisions, however
